The First Nations Series for Young Readers

Aimed at readers in grades five and up, The First Nations Series for Young Readers is a collection of biographies of courageous First Nations and Native American people who have risen above racism and cultural oppression to help transform their communities. The leaders profiled in these books have excelled in a variety of fields including sports, politics, the arts, and the environment.

Each book includes the profiles of ten people, and all feature photographs, sidebars, and lists of resources.

Also included in the series is the picture book Grey Wolf's Search, a traditional Pacific Northwest Coast story told for younger readers.
